oPasha Textile

Read about our new synthetic suede material, breathable & perforated, featuring the classic Pasha pattern. The product is called "oPasha", a reference to Op-art, an active art form which was an inspiration for  the Pasha pattern.

This pattern may look like just a cool design… but it has a story.

Back in 1977, Porsche introduced the Pascha interior with the brand-new 928 at the Geneva Auto Salon.

It wasn’t just about engineering anymore - it was a bold statement of style and innovation. The pattern itself came from Op-art, a movement connected to Bauhaus and later pop culture. Legend says Porsche’s chief designer, Tony Lapine, walked into the studio one day wearing a scarf with this psychedelic checkerboard. His team picked up on it - and soon, Pascha was born. It reminded people of the racing checkered flag, but with a wild, trippy, seventies twist. Pascha interiors found their way not only into the 928, but also the 911, 924, and 944. Over time, it became one of Porsche’s most iconic interior fabrics - loved, hated, and never forgotten.

We wanted to bring this legend back. But not as a copy.

We redesigned Pascha - more subtle, more refined, yet instantly recognizable. Our fabric has a gradient effect that lets you play with how the pattern flows across your interior. Our version is breathable, perforated, and compatible with ventilated seats. You can use it for door panels, seats - wherever your imagination takes you. We sell it in pieces - 88 by 138 centimeters - ready for your project. That size is enough to upholster one seat, assuming the gradient of the pattern fades only upwards, not both upwards and downwards.  This fabric is not stuck in the past. It’s a timeless transition: perfect for a restomod, a modern Porsche, or giving your classic interior a new life. If you’re a purist and think it’s not original… get over it. This fabric can transform your interior in an incredible way.

Built for Real Use

oPasha isn’t just a design piece - it’s a technical material. We created it using a synthetic suede base with a rich texture and soft feel. It’s strong, durable, and easy to clean, ready for real driving, not just for shows. The surface is protected with HydroCare treatment, which repels liquids and dirt while preserving breathability.

  • Superior Durability: With a weight of 700 g/m² and abrasion resistance of 35000 rubs (Martindale), this fabric is built to last in high-use environments.
  • Comfort & Quality: Soft suede-like surface made from 100% polyester with a strong backing blend (45% polyester, 35% PU, 20% cotton).
  • Safety Certified: Meets fire safety standards (EN 1021, BS 5852, Cigarette & Match Tests – PASS).
  • Resistant & Reliable: High tear strength, seam resistance, and solid color fastness against light and rubbing.
  • Easy to Maintain: HydroCare technology repels liquids, making stains easier to remove and cleaning effortless.
  • Sustainable & Certified: OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, REACH compliant, and produced with eco-conscious technology.

All this means you can trust oPasha for high-use areas – daily-driven interiors, bucket seats, or even motorsport builds that deserve a touch of class.

Creativity Meets Tradition

Whether you’re restoring a 911 SC, building a 964 backdate, or upgrading your 992 with vintage flair, oPasha gives you a bridge between eras. It’s a piece of Porsche history, reengineered for today.

Some builders use it as a center seat insert, others for door panels, dash trim, or rear shelf. The gradient and perforation give each layout a unique rhythm – the pattern shifts, fades, and transforms depending on how you position it. No two interiors ever look the same.

This is what makes oPasha special – it’s not just fabric, it’s a design tool.

Classic Soul. Modern Spirit.

oPasha isn’t nostalgia. It’s evolution. It respects Porsche heritage but gives you freedom to reinterpret it. Bold or subtle, factory-inspired or completely personal – that’s your choice.

So go ahead – light up your interior with a bit of optical magic. Because icons deserve to live on, not just in museums, but in motion.
