The set contains a special upholstery foam and 3M tape. 

The 991 Door Pads are custom inserts for the original 991 door panels. You can upholster them with any material fitting your style. It’s an easy way to refresh the interior and give it a unique look. You can combine them with the custom upholstered seats. 

Installation is quick and reversible. The pads are fixed with strong 3M VHB tape, which holds securely but can be removed without damage. The tape works in extreme conditions, from –40 °C up to +90 °C, and even higher in some cases.

Description & Design Concept

Inspired by the 992’s design, which includes a clean panel suitable for upholstery, the 991 Door Pads bring that refined vibe to older 991 interiors. The factory door cards lack a surface suitable for showing off decorative materials - and that’s the gap these pads fill.

Changing your seat upholstery and adding these pads can transform the character of your car. It’s a well-balanced upgrade; enough to make a statement without going overboard. Compositionally, this change complements the interior beautifully.

The RAW panel is made from ABS material with special shape and cuts for the best fitting. We provide the foam and 3M tape. Just use your favorite material and create your unique custom look!

Installation is straightforward, safe, and enjoyable:

1. Upholster the pads: wrap them in the material of your choice.

2. Apply tape: bond them into the door panels using the included super-strong 3M VHB tape. If needed, you can remove the pads later without damaging the doors.

   • Focus the tape especially on those areas that bear the most stress - typically the central rear part of the pad.

   • Also add tape along the edges to prevent lifting.

3. Consider material stretch: since the pads bend inward when installed, you’ll want to stretch your material a bit more than you think to avoid wrinkles after bending. A useful trick is to hold the upholstered pad up to the door to see how it will sit. Don’t over-stretch - it just needs a little extra give.
