We have designed an easy, reversible and non-invasive upgrade for different door panels. Our set of Sound Guards for tweeter and main speakers, can play a great role in interior customization, giving endless possibilities of mixing interior materials, because they can be upholstered. Using unique, classic textiles the covers can change the look of your interior in a couple of seconds. You can also mount them in the original RAW form.

Sound Guards are also perfect for DIY enjoyers - they can work on different door panels after adjustment. 

Design

This product belongs to our growing collection inspired by vintage racing stopwatches. A highly detailed, knurled aluminum rings give it that mechanical, instrument-grade feel. We applied the same manufacturing methods used for our Ignition Switch Covers and Gauge Bezels, ensuring consistent quality and visual language across the CarBone interior parts collection.

Sound Guards use a durable, heat-resistant, matte-black nylon base mesh that performs perfectly in automotive interiors. The same material was used for the lightweight Ultra Spacer. The mesh can be upholstered with any sound-permeable material - pepita textile, perforated leather, or whatever fits your build. Even without upholstery, integrated black perforation delivers a clean, purposeful, motorsport-ready look. 

And for the finishing touch: small embossed bones, our signature CarBone mark.

Options

Choose between two bezel finishes:

• SILVER - natural aluminum with a crisp, mechanical look

• BLACK - a sleek, durable coating with a subtle sheen 

Custom upholstery by CarBone 

There is a custom option of mesh upholstery available, which means we can wrap it in almost any material you choose, if only it meets technical requirements. 

It can be wrapped in most textiles like plaid, tartans or other automotive or designer materials that we have in stock.

• Main speaker: 154 mm | 6.06 in

• Tweeter: 68 mm | 2.68 in

Installation 

1. Cut the openings
Prepare the holes for the bezels: 154mm for the main speaker and 68mm for the tweeter. If your door panels are upholstered, cut a slightly larger hole in the hard backing. Trim the upholstery in a star pattern, pull it tight, and staple it from the inside. Upholstery adds thickness, so the backing hole must be a bit bigger. It’s always easier to enlarge a hole than to fix one that’s too big.

2. Upholstery (if you purchased RAW version)
If you want to cover the mesh with fabric or leather, simply use the upholstery glue to put a material and trim the excess. Use the aluminium ring as a guide for clean edges.

3. Assembly
Insert the black nylon base from the inside of the door card and position it in place. Thread the aluminium bezel onto it from the outside. The final depth is up to you - tighten it more or less depending on the look you prefer.

The nylon base provides rigidity and easy integration with door panels, and the aluminium top bezel threads on from the outside - letting you choose the final depth and visual stance.
